Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Almost every school kid in Illinois has access to high speed internet.
Governor Rauner’s office yesterday said that 96 percent of kids from kindergarten through high school no longer have to rely on dial-up internet.
It was 71 percent of schools just three years ago.
The governor says high speed internet is just as important of a learning tool as anything else in the classroom.
