It was another good game from the Pirates as they defeated the Martinsville Bluestreaks 41-6. Cumberland led 34-0 at the half and never looked back. The Cumberland offense posted 304 total yards, 179 yards passing and 118 yards rushing the ball. The Cumberland defense only gave up 93 total yards in the win. Gabe Hatfill ended the night 10 for 17 for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Those touchdowns were to Blayne Donsbach for 12 yards in the first quarter, Zach Wolke for 2 yards in the first quarter, and Donsbach again for 6 yards in the second quarter. Wyatt Brant continued his excellent season with 60 yards on 9 carries and 2 touchdowns, one from 14 yards out and one from 3 yards out. The Cumberland special teams also blocked a punt in the first quarter. Cumberland is now 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Cumberland will be in action next Saturday at 1 PM as they take on Orangeville.
