Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Federal regulators say it’s very important that you check your freezer for recalled ground beef.
The USDA yesterday said one person has died from the E Coli outbreak linked to tainted beef processed by Cargill.
Some of that beef was sold in Illinois.
The beef was sold back in June, but because it was sold in bulk, the USDA says some people may still have some of the tainted meat in their freezers.
You can find label pictures and batch numbers at the USDA’s website.
