Herman A. Wolf, 97, of Neoga, Illinois, formerly of rural Toledo, Illinois, passed away at 6:58 A. M., Monday, September 34, 2018, in the Carle Foundation Hospital of Urbana, Illinois.
Herman was born June 22, 1921, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the son of Henry A. and Clara (Werth) Wolf. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Sigel, Illinois and he served in the United States Army during World War II. Herman was also a life member of the Votaw-Swank Post # 458, of Neoga, Illinois and a life member of the Cumberland County Farm Bureau.
He married Ellen Naomi Yocum, November 30, 1989, in Denver, Co and Mrs. Wolf Passed away April 16, 2006.
Herman never met a stranger, he enjoyed visiting and talking with his family and his friends and neighbors.
Mr. Wolf leaves one brother, Kenneth Wolf and his wife Ruth of rural Neoga, IL; four step-children, Larry Whitaker and wife Wanda, Jack Whitaker and wife Donna all of Toledo, IL, Sandra Kinnaman of Mattoon, IL and Brenda Wilson of Charleston, IL; nieces and nephews; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wolf was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Arnold Wm. Wolf.

A Celebration of Herman’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Sigel, Illinois with Pastor, Earl Brown, officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour before the services at the Church. Burial will be in Elliott Cemetery in Cumberland County, with Military services conducted by the Votaw-Swank Post # 458, of Neoga, Illinois. The Swengel-O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is in charge of arrangements.
