- Mattoon Police arrested Sara N. Hudson, 37 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Theft. The arrest occurred on 09/21/2018 at 10:04pm at Mattoon PD. The charges allege that on 09/20/2018 while at Jackpot Joes located at 1919 Western Ave in Mattoon, Ms. Hudson picked up and stole a wallet belonging to another. Ms. Hudson was issued a court date and was released.
- Mattoon Police arrested Reginald M. Hettinger, 28 years of age of Lovington, IL, for the offenses of Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting a Police Officer, and Criminal Damage to Property. The arrest occurred on 09/21/2018 at 10:20pm in the 500 block of N. 22nd Street in Mattoon. The charges allege that on 09/21/18, Mattoon Police were dispatched to investigate a disturbance in the 500 block of N. 22nd Street, where there was reported to be a group of individuals lingering around an apartment building, one who appeared to be armed with an axe. Upon arrival, police located Mr. Hettinger in the area, and while speaking with him about the complaint, he ran away from police. Mr. Hettinger was caught by police a short distance later, and was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. The charges also allege Mr. Hettinger had damaged a wooden fence while attempting to cross it during the foot pursuit with police. Mr. Hettinger was taken to the Coles County Jail.
- Mattoon Police arrested Jose A. Garcia, 46 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Aggravated Battery in a Public Place. The arrest occurred on 09/21/2018 at 11:50pm in the 1900 block of Western Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 09/21/2018, Mr. Garcia caused a disturbance and was removed from Jackpot Joe’s located at 1919 Western in Mattoon, and after having been removed, struck a female in the face while in the parking lot area. Mr. Garcia was taken to the Coles County Jail.
September 22, 2018
- Mattoon Police arrested Timmie L. Comage, 42 years of age of Decatur, IL, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine. The arrest occurred on 09/22/2018 at 8:43pm in the 1200 block of Charleston Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 09/22/18, Mr. Comage was stopped by police in the 1200 block of Charleston Ave for a traffic violation, and during that time, Mr. Comage had possession of Methamphetamine. Also at the time of the stop, Mr. Comage had two active warrants for his arrest, one out of Coles County and another out of Macon County, both for traffic offenses. Mr. Comage was taken to the Coles County Jail.
