Detroit, MI-(Effingham Radio)-A possible steering issue is prompting General Motors to recall over one million pickup trucks and SUV’s.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the vehicles in question could experience a loss of power steering momentarily.
Officials say the sudden return of power could cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and increases the chance of an accident.
The vehicles in the recall are 2015 models of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, the GMC Sierra 1500 pickup, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade.
GM will be notifying owners and dealers will the vehicle’s software free of charge.
