CUMBERLAND COUNTY, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Three people were injured in an accident that occurred in Cumberland County on Thursday morning.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred at 9:14am on I-70 at milepost 127.
The report states that a semi tractor-trailer driven by 36 year old, Daljinder S Sangha, of Brampton, Ontario was traveling eastbound in the right lane of I-70.
Two semis driven by 46 year old, Roberta Morrison, of Little Rock, Arkansas and 47 year old, Roy Mcfadden, of St Louis, Missouri were parked on the right shoulder waiting on tow services to arrive.
Sangha crossed the white boundary line and struck the Morrison vehicle in the rear-driver’s side of the trailer.
Sangha then continues forward and sideswiped the Mcfadden vehicle and veered left into the median, coming to a rest.
Sangha, Morrison, and Mcfadden were transported by Greenup Ambulance to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
Sangha was cited for improper lane usage.
