EFFINGHAM COUNTY, IL-(Effingham Radio)-The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce recognized the Effingham County Farm Bureau as the July Member of the Month.
The Effingham County Farm Bureau has been a key part of the Effingham County’s history, representing the interests of area farm families for 100 years.
As a non-profit membership organization, the Farm Bureau’s mission is to improve the economic well-being of agriculture and enrich the quality of farm family life.
Through their state and national affiliations, they are able to advocate for farmers and speak out for agriculture, promote rural farm values, connect the farming community with consumers and create value for their members.
The Effingham County Farm Bureau has been recognized for having the longest running membership growth of all farm bureaus in Illinois.
Celebrating their Centennial year, special activities call attention to the important role the Farm Bureau and our farm community plays in our continued growth and development.
The Farm Bureau Board has supported efforts to replace and repair buildings at the County fairgrounds and offers classroom presentations and scholarships to support ag education.
