EFFINGHAM, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Board of Education is set to meet on Monday.
After recognizing the visitors, the Board will adjourn into closed session to discuss “the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District and Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, self-evaluation, practices and procedures, or professional ethics, when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the district is a member, and discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06 5ILCS 120/2(c)(21)”.
The Board will then return to open session where they will consider approval of the closed session minutes.
The Board will then hear a presentation on construction management.
They will also take possible action on three items of old business and eight items of new business.
Old business includes the review of closed session minutes, policy updates and changes, and a prevailing wage resolution.
New business includes a SEPCO Food Cooperative bid, a fuel bid, a 2018-2019 health insurance rate approval, a beverage contract, a mowing bid contract, a security camera software management contract, and the Unit #40 Administrative/Teacher Compensation Report.
The Board of Education will meet at 6:00pm.
