EFFINGHAM, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Public Library is pleased to showcase local artist, Whitney Ruger’s, work in the Art Gallery at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library.
Whitney Ruger is a self-taught watercolor artist living in Flora, Illinois.
Her work in watercolor takes a more modern approach with a clean, simple aesthetic, influenced by her time spent studying architecture and technical drawing.
Whitney’s subject matter reflects her love of all things vintage, feminine, and coastal, and her finished pieces demonstrate her keen attention to even the smallest details.
Most recently, Whitney received both the Mayor’s Choice and 1st place 2-D Art awards at the2018 Effingham Artisan Fair.
Whitney Ruger’s Art Show will be displayed in the Art Gallery until June 28, 2018.
