Effingham, IL – (Effingham Radio) Washington Savings Bank is once again offering their WSB Summertime CEO program which
allows children ages 6-12 an opportunity to manage and run their own lemonade stand. The program is running now through July 31.
Just like a real business, participants will fill out an application and be interviewed at any of the Washington Savings Bank locations. Once approved, applicants receive their lemonade stand kit, which includes cups, a pitcher, lemonade mix, sanitizing wipes, a WSB Summertime CEO button and $2.00 start-up cash. The kits are available while supplies last, with a limit of one kit per family.
Also included in the kits is an Income Statement that participants will bring to the WSB Summertime CEO Closing Party held in Effingham at the Banker Street location on Saturday, August 4 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon and in Mattoon on Friday, August 3 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Drinks and snacks will be provided, and Washington Savings Bank employees will be available at the party to help participants fill out their income statements. Once the income statements are turned in, the young CEOs will receive a certificate of completion and their picture will be placed on the WSB Summertime CEO Hall of Fame.
David Doedtman, President of Washington Savings Bank, is excited to get this program going for its second year. “Last year we had over 30 young entreprenuers participate in the WSB Summertime CEO program and we were very pleased with the success of our CEOs. This year we decided to add a couple of new features to the program including a sales tracker and a Closing Party to take the education and the fun even farther!”
