Springfield, IL (Effingham Radio) – Most people will do a little bit to get ready for the winter.
But what about the summer?
The Illinois Emergency Management Agency yesterday reminded folks about the importance of being prepared for the summer heat.
IEMA’s recommendations include checking on kids and the elderly to avoid heat related sicknesses, to lock cars so children don’t get trapped inside, and to be aware of the summer forecast, whether it is dangerous heat or summer thunderstorms.
