Mattoon, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Lake Land College Foundation announced that the Effingham Regional Growth Alliance Technology Scholarship is now available for individuals interested in the LaunchCode program.
IT-LaunchCode offers students an opportunity to train for a career in the fast growing field of web application development.
Those who complete the program will earn a Lake Land College certificate as well as the opportunity to test for eight industry-leading Microsoft certifications.
Students who meet the criteria are eligible for the scholarship.
The recipient must be a student currently enrolled in the IT-LaunchCode course at Lake Land.
The student also needs to be a resident of Effingham County and demonstrate an aptitude for information technology through the completion of the IT-LaunchCode aptitude test.
Preference will be given to a displaced worker or an applicant changing careers.

Enrollment will be accepted through May 29.
