SPRINGFIELD, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The clock is ticking for Illinois lawmakers.
The legislature has till the end of the day Thursday to agree on a new state budget.
If they do, it’d be the first time in two years that lawmakers met their deadline.
There is expectation among lawmakers that they can agree on a new spending plan.
But State Rep. Lou Lang over the weekend said he’s not sure Governor Rauner will sign that plan.
