REND LAKE, IL-(Effingham Radio)-The water is once again flowing in southern Illinois, but local communities aren’t ready to lift their boil orders yet.
The Rend Lake Conservancy District yesterday canceled its water conservation order.
The Conservancy District said its water quality tests came back as acceptable.
But a number of southern Illinois communities aren’t ready to lift their boil orders just yet.
Rend Lake shut down water delivery to nearly 160-thousand people last week after one of its major pipes burst.
