WASHINGTON D.C.-(Effingham Radio)- The wet spring could mean a buggy summer.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention yesterday warned that the Midwest, including Illinois, could see a spike in ticks and mosquitoes.
That, the CDC says, could lead to an increase in Lyme disease and West Nile cases this summer.
The CDC is also warning of the new Bourbon virus, which can be deadly.
