JASPER COUNTY, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Four people were injured in an accident that occurred in Jasper County on Saturday.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred at the intersection of IL 33 and Jasper County Road 1000N at 8:50.
The report stated that vehicles being driven by 55 year old, Michael J Rohr, of Newton and 31 year old, Marjorie N Mugrage, of Stewardson were traveling westbound on Route 33 just east of Jasper County Road 900E.
A vehicle driven by 18 year old, Kyle J Zumbahlen, of Newton had just turned off of County Road 900E onto Route 33 and drove towards County Road 1000N.
Zumbahlen then began to make a left hand turn onto County Road 1000N.

As Zumbahlen began to make his left turn, Rohr struck the Mugrage vehicle on the rear-driver’s side.
The impact caused the Rohr vehicle to lose control and go into the ditch on the south side of Route 33.
Rohr then went through the ditch and onto the railroad tracks and continued to travel for 1.3 miles before being stopped by Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies.
The Mugrage vehicle then came to a stop in the roadway and the Zumbahlen vehicle came to a rest on the rail road tracks.
Mugrage and her three juvenile passengers were transported to HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Rohr was cited for improper lane usage and improper passing.
Mugrage was cited for operating a vehicle without insurance.
