MARSHALL, IL-(Effingham Radio)-Â One person was injured in an accident that occurred east of Marshall on Sunday morning.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred on US 40 east of Marshall at 1:47am on Sunday.
The release states that a vehicle driven by 42 year old, Jason A Selby, of West Union was traveling westbound on US 40 near Tarble Road.
At the same time, a vehicle driven by 33 year old, Samantha A McGranahan, of Terre Haute, Indiana was traveling eastbound in the same location.
The Selby vehicle then crossed the center line and the McGranahan vehicle turned left the avoid the Selby vehicle.
The Selby vehicle then struck the McGranahan vehicle on the passenger side.
McGranahan’s passenger, 34 year old, Christina S Elkins, of Terre Haute, Indiana was taken to Union Hospital for treatment.
Selby was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.
