FAYETTE COUNTY, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The case of a St. Peter man charged with murder is set for a hearing in Fayette County Court.
24-year old Alexander R. Beccue of St. Peter is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing today.
Beccue’s March hearing setting had to be continued due to subpoenaed records not being received by defense attorney Ed Deters.
Those records were turned over shortly after the March court date.
Beccue is charged with 2 counts of First Degree Murder as information states that Beccue allegedly “with the intent to kill Joshua K. Smith, shot Joshua K. Smith in the head” with what information from an unlawful possession charge against Beccue states was allegedly a .38 revolver handgun.
Beccue remains in the Fayette County jail on $1 million bond.
UPDATE (4:30 P.M.) Following today’s hearing Beccue’s trial date has been pushed back to august 30.
