Effingham, Ill. (Springfield, Ill.) – An unexpected resignation in the district of State Representative Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) left a township without a Supervisor, a critical office in township governments.
According to Halbrook, supervisors are needed to receive and pay out all township monies, and are essential for compensating township employees.
That’s why he filed HB4697 which was approved in committee this morning.
