Effingham – At approximately 11:45 a.m., Teutopolis Unit #60 Schools Superintendent Bill Fritcher Released a statement after information of an alleged threat of violence was made towards the schools.
According to Frichter, the information was reported to him earlier this morning, and after being investigated thoroughly by law enforcement it was found to not be credible.
Teutopolis High School was contacted for further details, and it was confirmed that classes have, and will continue to go as normal for the day as the threat was unwarranted.
Effingham County Sheriff David Mahon was contacted for further comment, however there was not an immediate response.
