Effingham, Ill. – This morning we obtained reports of an arrest made by Marshall Police Department following a threat made to a local school.
As reported by WTHI, Jonathon SIler, 19, was arrested for making a verbal threat that came to police on Monday.
Details as to which school was receiving the threat have not been released at this time.
Following the arrest, MPD shared a statement regarding the situation:
Siler was immediately taken to Clark County Jail.
Details behind his first appearance in court have not been released, but we will continue to update as the story develops.
