Neoga, Ill – Demolition has began on the former Neoga Sarah Bush Lincoln Clinic.
According to the Effingham Daily News, the demolition began Thursday. This comes following the opening of the newly built clinic located just next-door.
EDN added, “The new 5,000-square-foot facility was erected next to the former one on Oak Avenue. It has six exam rooms, a procedure room, a full lab and diagnostic imaging, plus an expanded reception area. SBL purchased the building from the family of Dr. Robert Swengel in 1994, shortly after he died. Before construction could begin, the hospital had to demolish a house and laundromat/car wash that were located on the properties.”
According to EDN, this demolition of the old clinic and the vacant property next to it, comes as “one of the last phases of the project.”
