Effingham, Ill. ((PyongChang, South Korea) – The Opening Ceremony for the 2018 Winter Games was a spectacle of song, dance and fireworks.
More than 12-hundred drones helped open the show, which took place in chilly temperatures in front of more than 30-thousand spectators.
Former figure skating champion Yuna Kim lit the Olympic Cauldron.
Team USA Eyes More Winter Success In PyeongChang
(PyeongChang, South Korea) – Team USA is looking to pick up where it left off four years ago in Sochi [[ SO-chee ]].
Americans led the medal count in 2014 with 28.
That included nine gold, seven silver and 12 bronze.
Norway was a close second with 26 medals, including 11 gold. Canada was third with 25 medals.
Ten of those were gold.
