(Washington, DC) — President Trump delivers his first State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress tomorrow night.
During the primetime speech, Trump will cheer the ongoing strength of the economy, the soaring stock market, deregulation and the big Republican tax bill that he signed last month.
At the annual global economic summit in Davos, Switzerland last week, Trump said the U.S. is “roaring back” and is “open for business.”
He stressed that the world is witnessing the resurgence of a strong and prosperous America.
The President is expected to call for a major investment in renovating highways, bridges, rails and airports.
He will likely repeat a call for stronger immigration controls, including a massive border wall and an end to chain migration and visa lottery programs.
In Davos, Trump argued that immigration reform is essential for U.S. national security.
He said The nation’s immigration system is stuck in the past.
Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy will give The Democratic response to The President’s speech.
He is The grandson of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.
