Effingham, Il (Via Springfield) – Illinois drivers haven’t seen much ice and snow so far this winter, but the Illinois Department of Transportation says that will change.
And when it does, I-DOT is reminding people about its newly designed road conditions website.
I-DOT Secretary Randy Blankenhorn yesterday said the state’s new website, GettingAroundIllinois.com, will give travelers a better view of road conditions as they change.
I-DOT crews, including plow drivers, will be the ones helping update the conditions in real time.
