Social Media is the home to the latest rumors of violence revolving around Altamont High School.
Parents were outraged to hear from their students that there were threats being made to cause violence at Altamont High School.
The constant rumors led to Altamont CUSD #10 Superintendent Jeff Fritchtnitch releasing a statement.
In that released he stated, I would like to inform the parents and community of Altamont that the concerns of potential violence at Altamont High School have and continue to be managed.
Be assured the Administration is taking all precautions to maintain a safe learning environment.
We reached out to Superintendent Fritchnitch for further comments, he shared the situation was taken care of.

This afternoon at 4:30 there will be a meeting held at altamont high school to further discuss the issue.
Michael Patton, He felt frustrated this incident was not brought to the attention of the parents.
Patton had taken his concerns to Facebook after speaking to the school.
