The Suspect is Considered Armed, and Dangerous
Effingham, Il – Effingham Police has issued a warrant for Matthew D. R. Moore, 23, 150 lbs.
Moore is currently being pursued by the Effingham Police Department in connection to a burglary that occurred at AT&T Communications on 1301 Thelma Keller Rd. on October 11, 2017 at approximately 10:43 p.m..
According to the published press release the facility had sustained damage to the outside glass door where two suspects gained entry into the building.
The suspects allegedly stole $299.99 each before leaving the store.
Moore is also a suspect in multiple burglaries in and around northern Illinois.
EPD is working in conjunction with other agencies across the area to see that Moore is to be arrested.
Fuesting expressed how Effingham is vulnerable to criminals coming in from the intersection of the interstates to commit crimes.
“Teaming up with other jurisdictions to solve these types of crimes helps send a message to those would-be criminals that we will not tolerate their behavior, and we will wisely use our resources to prosecute those responsible and protect the citizens of Effingham.”
