(Chicago, IL) — The push to get Illinois to drop out of President Trump’s voter crosscheck system is growing. The ACLU is among the advocates that told Illinois lawmakers last week that the state needs to drop out of the national voter database designed to scrub voter rolls. The idea is to make sure that people are not registered to vote in more than one place. But the advocates say while it’s not uncommon for people to be registered to vote in one more than one place, it is very rare for people to actually vote more than once.
