(Springfield, IL) — The number of Illinois teens dying in car accidents is about half what it was a decade ago. Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White yesterday said that teen driving deaths fell from 155 in 2007, to just 76 last year. White says the graduated drivers license program, which eases young drivers on to the road, should be credited for the drop in deaths.
