A St Elmo man was sentenced to a combined 15 years in prison on Friday.
According to a press release from the Fayette County State’s Attorney’s Office, 47 year old, Thomas J McCall was found guilty by a Jury for Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property, and Possession of Cannabis on August 23rd. McCall’s sentencing hearing was held on Friday, but McCall waived his 6th amendment right to be present at the hearing and refused to appear. Judge Kevin Parker sentenced McCall to 9 years for the Possession of Methamphetamine charge, 4 years for the Unlawful Use of Property charge, and 2 years for the Possession of Cannabis charge.
These charges are set to be served concurrently in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
