(Decatur, IL) — The city of Decatur will never host a Super Bowl, but the city is hosting its seventh “super bowl of agriculture.” The Farm Progress Show opened in Decatur yesterday. The show is the place for farmers and farm companies from across the country to show and sell everything from seeds, to tractors, to computer crop management tools. Organizers say Farm Progress has a multi-million-dollar impact on the central Illinois economy, and after seven years it’s getting close to the same impact as one Super Bowl for a big city.
