The Effingham Police Department will hold a fundraiser in conjunction with Effingham’s Cruise Night this evening.
From 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the city parking lot adjacent to Baseball Card Connection, the Police Department will have burgers, brats, chips, and drinks. Donations are being accepted and the proceeds will go to the care, maintenance, and equipment needed for the Effingham Police Department’s two K-9’s Narco and Joeri. The Effingham Police Department recently added Joeri as a second K-9 team with help from a private donor.
Effingham Police Chief Fuesting stated, “K-9 Joeri and Handler Officer Jared Probst are currently attending training to receive certification. They will be joining our existing team, K-9 Narco and Handler Corporal Andy Warner. We appreciate the citizens of Effingham, and encourage everyone to come out and visit us on Cruise Night and meet members of our Team.” Chief Fuesting added that this addition of a second K-9 team will allow the Police Department to work closely with and provide special service to the citizens of Effingham.
Cruise Night is being held in Downtown Effingham this evening.
