An Oblong man was injured in an accident that occurred 5 miles north of Oblong, near the the Crawford/Jasper County line at 9:00am on Monday.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, 61 year old, William L. Hill, of Oblong was traveling southbound on Crawford County Rd 25E in a semi tractor-trailer. Hill attempted to pass a tractor being driven by 64 year old, Jack W. Snider, of Oblong and left the roadway to the left. The semi rolled over onto its drivers side, coming to a rest in the west ditch of CR 25E. Hill was transported to Crawford Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
William Hill was charged with improper lane usage and failure to wear a seat belt.
