The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners will hold a plant sale on Saturday, April 29th at the Extension Office from 7:30am to 11:30am. Attendees will be able to interact with Master Gardeners and ask them questions pertaining to vegetable and flower gardens. In addition to the plants that are for sale, gardening books and items will be available as well.
Master Gardener, Janet Kennedy stated, “The plant sale provides a connection between the Master Gardeners and the local garden community. All the vegetable and flowering plants are provided from the Master Gardeners personal gardens”.
Funds raised by the plant sale will benefit the 2017 community garden and other local projects. The community garden is located south of Bob’s Salvage on Banker Street. It is open from April 1st until November 1st. For additional information regarding the plant sale, contact the U of I Extension Office at 217-347-7773.
