A Farina man currently remanded to the Fayette County Jail on a charge of aggravated kidnapping is now facing additional charges stemming from an incident that occurred at the jail last week. 34-year old Darrel K. Moulton made an appearance in court on Tuesday morning for the charge of Aggravated Kidnapping of a Victim Under the age of 13. Pre-trial in that case was reset for March 3 at 10am. However, Moulton was brought back to court on Tuesday afternoon as Assistant State’s Attorney Brenda Mathis offered probable cause on two counts of Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property filed against Moulton. Information on the count one states that on February 7th, Moulton “or one whom he is legally responsible, knowingly damaged” government supported property in that he allegedly “removed R-board, foam insulation, from a wall and flushed the r-board down the toilet, causing flooding and major plumbing issues, said damage being less than $500.” That count is a Class 4 felony. Information on the second count reads the same as the first with the exception of damage on the second count being more than $500 but less than $10,000. That count is a Class 3 Felony. Judge Don Sheafor ruled that bond on the aggravated kidnapping charge was sufficient enough and did not add any additional bond amount for the two new charges. Moulton is set to appear on those charges on March 3 at 11am. Moulton remains in the Fayette County Jail on $500,000 bond.
