State Senator Kyle McCarter once again weighed in on the “Grand Bargain” deal being bounced around in the Senate. McCarter is not a fan of the plan and says he finds it very ironic that we now have a President pushing pro-business reform, while the state talks about a bill package that McCarter says would have the opposite effect.
“It’s like we’re living in two different worlds,” McCarter said. “All the effort is to lower taxes, regulations, and to put people back to work and we’re doing the complete opposite.”
The Senator is looking for feedback on the “Grand Bargain” deal from constituents.
“I want to hear from people,” McCarter stated. “I do believe we can make government smaller and make it affordable for people, but that’s not what’s happening right now.”
McCarter can be reached at his Vandalia Office or on Facebook and Twitter.
