The Effingham City Council will put the appointment of a member to the Effingham Public Library Board to a vote at their meeting on Tuesday, January 17th.
The City Council will vote regarding the appointment of Mary Holomy to the Board in order to fill the remainder of a term that had been recently filled by Carol Utz. If appointed, Holomy’s Board term will expire on April 30, 2019. Additionally, the Council will receive an update from FGM Architects regarding the Police Facility design. The Council will then discuss the ITEP Bike Lane Project, including commitment of funds and the execution of an agreement with IDOT for the preliminary engineering of the project. The Council will discuss a petition to rezone a single family residence on South Fourth Street to a two-family duplex and will discuss Donald Thoele Subdivision.
The Effingham City Council will meet on Tuesday, January 17th at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers located at 201 E. Jefferson Avenue.
