(Chicago, IL) — Illinois’ former first lady, Patti Blagojevich, isn’t giving up hope that President Obama will grant clemency to her imprisoned husband before he leaves office. Rod Blagojevich is serving a 14-year sentence for corruption, including a charge that he tried to profit from the appointment of the Senate replacement for Obama after he became president. The President yesterday didn’t expressly rule out commuting Blagojevich’s sentence, prompting Patti Blagojevich to write to her Facebook friends, “He didn’t say no. Keeping up the prayers.”
