The Teutopolis Board of Trustees met on Wednesday, January 5th.
In the meeting, the Board discussed replacing their Christmas decorations for this upcoming year. Following concerns from Village Trustees that the decorations are looking rough, the Board discussed possibly replacing these decorations this year. The Board also continued their discussion about the speed that is being used in front of the Grade School. It was reported that even though the speed limit signs state 35 miles per hour and that there are school speed-zone signs up by the school, that traffic is driving too fast in front of the school. The Trustees discussed possible options that can be taken regarding the speed of traffic. One such option was that of a radar speed limit sign to remind motorists of the speed that they are traveling. Additionally, the Trustees discussed repainting the crosswalk on Main St, in front of St. Francis Church. They discussed options to be used to make the crosswalk more visible.
The Teutopolis Board of Trustees meets in the Teutopolis Village Hall at 106 W. Main St in Teutopolis.
