Cumberland was able to get third place at the St. Elmo Holiday tournament by beating Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 71-58. CHBC led 5-4 early in the first but after that Cumberland got on a 7-0 run and never looked back. Cumberland led 37-33 at the half and 59-45 at the end of the third quarter. Aaron Nohren led CHBC with 25 and Konner Blackerby added 18 points as well. Cumberland was led by Tyson Magee who scored 32. Also scoring double figures for Cumberland were Zach Wolke who had 17 and Mike Wolke who had 11 points. CHBC is now 3-4 on the season and will play at the Dieterich Holiday Tournament Tuesday against Arcola. Cumberland is now 7-4 on the season and will next face St. Elmo/Brownstown on January 3rd.
