The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce was selected as this year’s Outstanding Chamber of the Year by the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. The award recognizes organizational excellence and provides an opportunity to assess a chamber’s strengths, while highlighting leadership and achievements. The award was presented at the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) Annual Celebration & Awards Dinner Thursday, November 3, 2016.
“Under the leadership of President & CEO Norma Lansing, the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce has thrived, showing that commitment to membership, and strong leadership can grow an organization and positively impact its community,” said Desirée Bennyhoff, 2016 IACCE Chair and President & CEO of the Edwardsville|Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce.
Bennyhoff said that the Effingham County Chamber was selected because of their high quality programs and collaboration with the community.
“Through a collaborative approach, the organization has implemented notable programs, established new partnerships and developed best practices that can be replicated around the state.”
