The man who was stabbed in Dieterich on October 14th was in custody with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office. 19-year-old Skyler L. Roley was wanted on an Effingham County Warrant for Battery and Mob action, after witnesses claimed he produced a chain which he was allegedly was going to use as a weapon against Anthony Hawes. Hawes allegedly stabbed Roley in self-defense. According to Effingham County Sherrif Dave Mahon, Roley was arrested in Shelby County early in the week.
Roley has since bonded out, but is set to appear in court next week. Two others were also arrested in connection with incident. 18-year-old Brayden L. Aldredge, of Effingham, and 34-year-old Adam J. Pipkins, of Effingham, are both charged with Mob Action, a Class 4 Felony and have appeared in court.
