The Effingham County Board will meet on Monday, October 17th at 4:00pm.
The Board will begin the meeting by approving minutes and the payment of bills. They will also listen to the monthly Officers’ Reports. The Board will then discuss Resolutions to honor retiring personnel and Sheriff David Mahon for his award of the 2016 American Legion’s National Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Those retiring include Becky Bailey, who served with the Regional Superintendent of Schools ROE #3 for 52 years, John Niccum, who served with the Sheriff’s Office for 34 years, and Bill Arnold, who served with the Sheriff’s Office for 21 years. The Board will also discuss an Ordinance that will establish the reimbursement of travelling, meal, and lodging expenses for officers and employees of Effingham County. The Board will then consider Resolutions to collect delinquent taxes.
The Effingham County Board meets in the Effingham County Office Building located on North 4th Street in Effingham. The November meeting of the Effingham County Board is scheduled for November 21st at 4:00pm.
