(Champaign, IL) — Sandwich-maker Jimmy John’s is selling its majority stake to a company in Atlanta. Based in Champaign, Jimmy John’s announced the deal yesterday with private equity firm Roark Capital Group, whose other brands include Arby’s and CKE Restaurants, which owns Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. Jimmy John’s founder Jimmy John Liautaud will continue to be the biggest individual shareholder and the board chairman. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
