The Cubs were able to come back from being down 4-2 to win in 10 innings 6-4 against the Dodgers.
The Cubs scored first with a RBI single from Russell. The Dodgers came back with a RBI single by Utley in the second, a RBI by Turner in the third, and a RBI by Kendrick in the fourth to take a 3-1 lead. The Cubs added another run in the fifth on a Rizzo RBI single to make it 3-2. The Dodgers added another run in the seventh on a González solo home run to make it 4-2. The Cubs got a run in the eighth on a Bryant solo home run to make it 4-3. The Cubs tied the game at 4 in the top of the ninth as Heyward scored on a wild pitch. The Cubs took the lead in the tenth inning on a two run home run by Bryant to take a 6-4 lead.
Neither starting pitcher was a factor in the decision. Montgomery was the Cubs starter. Montgomery gave up 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 5 and walking 4 over 5 innings. Wood got the win in relief. Dodgers starter Norris gave up 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 6 and walking 4 over 5 innings. Liberatone took the loss in relief.
