(Chicago, IL) — Prosecutors are seeking the maximum prison sentence in the case of a former Illinois National Guard soldier accused of a terrorist plot. The case was made in a federal filing in Chicago on Friday against Hasan Edmonds of Aurora. He’s accused of plotting to join ISIS while his cousin, Jonas Edmonds, attacked a National Guard armory based out of suburban Joliet. Prosecutors want 30 years in prison for Hasan Edmonds, who is scheduled to be sentenced along with Jonas Edmonds next month after both pleaded guilty to charges.
