A Farina man had to be airlifted from the scene of a crash Thursday Evening. 38-year-old Jason Fletcher, of Farina, was traveling south on 300th Street, south of Altamont, when his vehicle ran off on the right side of the roadway. Fletcher over corrected and struck the left ditch embankment, rolled three times, and struck a fence. The vehicle caught fire shortly after.
Another motorist, 39-year-old Matt Robinson, of Edgewood, saw the accident and stopped to help. Robinson was able to pull Fletcher from the burning vehicle and performed first aid until Emergency Responders arrived.
Fletcher was then airlifted from the scene by helicopter. He was cited for Improper Lane Usage.
