(Chicago, IL) — Cook County Clerk David Orr isn’t happy with Governor Rauner’s decision to veto a voter registration bill. The governor rejected a measure last week that would have automatically registered eligible voters in the state when they received or renewed a driver’s license. Orr said yesterday he doesn’t buy Rauner’s reasons for the veto which include conflicts with federal law. He said the governor’s decision was politically motivated.
