A Bulterville, Indiana man was arrested on Saturday and has been charged with a Class 3 Felony for possession of methamphetamine.
Brian S. Copper was pulled over on Saturday by Illinois State Police for driving erratically. Copper, then, failed the field sobriety test that police had asked him to perform. When searching Copper’s motorcycle, officers found a bag of Methamphetamine. Copper was then arrested and brought to Effingham County Jail.
Brian Copper appeared in court early Monday. He was charged with a Class 3 Felony for possession of methamphetamine. He was also cited with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle, driving while under the influence of drugs, improper lane usage, operating a motorcycle with only one hand on the handle bars, failure to ride a motorcycle with one leg on each side, operating a motorcycle with the handle bar above his head, no mirrors on the motorcycle, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Copper is scheduled to return to court on August 16th at 10:00am.
